Conceptual Design for SIA concert
SIA famously does not give concerts, and does not like to show her face.
This is a conceptualization of hypothetical concert lighting rig and set list if SIA were to give a concert. The orientation of the rig is inspired by the black and white wig that her dancers often wear in her music videos, and is designed to create an emotional environment that would project out into the arena, surrounding the singer primarily from the back and sides. The lighting angle as primarily opposite to the audience on three sides would occlude the singer’s face and create glare when trying to see her forcing the audience to focus on the spectacle rather than the individual. The lighting is meant as a physical and illuminant complement to the aural environment created by SIA’s often epic sounding tracks.
