OMNI Homestead Resort is a National Historic Landmark in the scenic mountains of Hot Springs, Virginia. In 2021, the resort wanted to do a full-property renovation. As America’s first resort, The Homestead has hosted presidents and world dignitaries, and OMNI Group wanted to preserve the rich American history and elegance of the historic property. OMNI collaborated with architecture firm WATG and its interior design studio Wimberly Interiors for a restoration that would honor the resort’s past while introducing contemporary elements.

Reveal Design Group tirelessly and painstakingly highlighted highlighted and enhanced the existing sculpture and materiality of the spaces, while Wimberly and WATG deftly updated color and restored materials. We employed light in the transformation of spaces from dark and brooding, musty looking spaces to warm and inviting tastefully inviting islands of inviting rest within a Resort dedicated to rest as well as adventure.
For the new Wedding Pavilion and its lawn, we wanted to create layers of ambient warmth, to invite wedding parties and their guests into a homelike atmosphere for celebration of love and commitment.
